Member's Gallery

Members of the Society work in a variety of media such as graphite pencil, pen and ink, coloured pencils and watercolour, working from living or dried specimens. Subject matter includes any type of plant material from flowers to fungi and seed heads to sprouts.

Activities and successes of members include;

  • Exhibiting with the RHS and SBA
  • Having paintings in prestigious collections such as the Lindley Library
  • Illustrating books
  • Writing and illustrating magazine articles and nature diaries
  • Designing for the textile industry
  • Contributing to florilegia
  • Illustrating greetings cards for a company with world wide distribution

Members have tutored workshop days, given talks and demonstrated their skills for the National Trust, Worcestershire Federation of Women's Institutes and various local art societies. Courses are given by members at The Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Glasshouses, and at Winterbourne Botanic garden.
