Winterbourne House & Gardens

A beautifully restored Edwardian house and garden. Situated on the Birmingham University campus in Edgbaston,close to the Barber Institute, its 6 acre garden is a valuable resource for gardeners and botanical illustrators alike.

Royal Horticultural Society

The RHS owns five gardens across the UK: Wisley in Surrey, Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire, Hyde Hall in Essex, Bridgewater in Greater Manchester, and Rosemoor in Devon. Through their gardens, they help gardeners across the UK by providing access to diverse plant collections, examples of innovative and attractive planting design and good horticultural practices.

SBA Distance Learning Diploma

The Society of Botanical Artists offers a highly regarded ‘Distance Learning Diploma’ open to students anywhere in the world, ideal for students of botanical art who are looking to develop a professional practice. On completion of the diploma, graduates may use DipSBA(Dist) after their name.

RBGE Diploma in Botanical Illustration

This Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh certified course hones the many skills you need to capture plants in pencil, pen and watercolour. It runs over two years part-time for the attended course in Edinburgh or three years for the distance learning course. RBGE also offers Certificate and Advanced Certificate courses in Botanical Illustration.
