Following our AGM, members enjoyed a relaxed buffet lunch before settling in for an inspiring talk by Warwickshire-based artist Garima Dhawan.
Garima is a surface pattern designer and licensing artist with a background in art and printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design in the US. Her work, rooted in the vibrancy of botanical forms brought to life through the collage technique, a process she describes as taking things apart and reimagining them in fresh, unexpected ways.
Driven by a deep connection to nature as a limitless source of inspiration, Garima aims to create art that uplifts and energies; art that evokes expansion, empowerment, and the bold belief that anything is possible.
Her talk traced her journey into licensing, including collaborations with renowned brands such as John Lewis, Anthropologie, Next, Habitat, IKEA, M&S, and many others. It was a fascinating glimpse into a creative career shaped by innovation, resilience, and a passion for beauty.
🌿 We’re thrilled that Garima has now joined the Society and we look forward to the spark of colour, creativity, and positivity she brings with her vibrant personality. See more of Garima’s fabulous artworks at……http://www.garimadhawan.com
