Simon Williams held a workshop on ‘Botanical Painting with Gouache’ at our meeting on 12th March. Those members on the workshop were given comprehensive details on how to use this medium on white and coloured paper. As well as demonstrating Simon gave members a lot of his time going around helping and advising. A big thank you, the day was enjoyed very much.
Simon’s book ‘Botanical Painting with Gouache – A Step by Step Guide’ was published in 2016 and is still available to buy. It is a definitive guide to the medium. Simon is also the course director for the Society of Botanical Artists Distance Learning Course and tutors his own Botanical and Natural History Painting Course.
